Vanilla+ on the other hand tries to keep this in line with the vanilla game and tries not to add things that aren't needed. The focus trees are not balanced well and you can often find minor nations dominating games in silly ways. The issues I have with it are from a balance perspective. 'Road to 56 is a mishmash of a lot of different mods and adds a ton of new content to the game.
For when you get to a point where you're looking at different mods, I would suggest - in order of 'Idleness likes them in this order':ġ) Kaiserreich - this is basically a new game within the HOI4 framework, lots to learn in order to git gud but very immersive so it's an enjoyable learning curve Yeah, vanilla should keep you busy for a while and, even if it didn't, there will be a gap between the expansion today and the big mods being compatible.
